Our NFT collections

In February this year, I started writing a book on NFTs. Having created my first NFT collection back in 2018 after seeing Cryptopunks and Cryptokitties (I called it Ether Critters), then seeing the rapid rise in popularity last year, I wanted to share some of my own experiences and talk about the past, present and future of NFTs.

Six months later I am sitting on a rather large unedited manuscript. And because this space moves so quickly, the second the ink was dry, the content was already history. Hopefully there’s plenty of content there that users will find interesting though so I will share it here.

As part of our adventures in NFTs, a world as exciting and innovative as it is murky and scam-ridden (I will write more about this later), we created our own sets. The first in March last year. Clandroids are a small collection of robots, each with their own traits and character. This is before I had heard of auto-generative PFP NFTs where thousands of variations could be created from a collection of varied traits. We only created 22 of them, each drawn individually. It was a fun learning experience and allowed us to get to grips with the various NFT marketplaces including Opensea.

Later in the year, inspired by artwork that wraps arcade machines, we created a second set – Coinops. These were 3D modelled and animated NFTs wrapped in our artwork and rotated with animated screens. This one was a more comprehensive project but as before but the results were worth it.

We’re working on a new set at the moment, a 10,000 PFP project which we hope to launch in the Autumn. Watch this space…
